Man shot by Indianapolis police in grandmother’s driveway files legal demand

The city of Indianapolis and its police department have been sent a legal demand for financial compensation by a man who says officers shot him multiple times at the same time they were asking him to put his hands up. Anthony Maclin was hit three times by gunfire from Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers while he was in a rental car outside his grandmother’s house early in the morning of Dec. 31. Bankrupt FTX threatens legal action to claw back donations to politicians, charities

The new leadership team of bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX.com has threatened legal action against political and charitable organizations that fail to return donations they received when the exchange was led by Sam Bankman-Fried, according to a statement released Sunday. FTX requested the funds be returned by Feb. 28, claiming that they “reserve the right to commence actions before the Bankruptcy Court” if the funds are not returned by that date, with interest accruing from the date any action is commenced.
